It's good to see fellow brothers in sisters in Jesus Christ because I've been trying to get people to listen and it's like I'm talking to a brick wall in a lot of cases, but the Bible validates this in telling us that only a few will be saved..

What is very important for us believers however, is to do our best to live a spotless, blameless life because Jesus is coming soon and we will be held to account for our actions. Pornography, Adultery, Fornication, unforgiveness, anger, and a host of other unpleasing acts before God, we have to remove from our lives. Don't let these lying preachers give you the impression that a lukewarm, sinful walk before God will be acceptable. Truly, we will all falter and sin still, but there is a difference between stumbling and sinning and intentionally living a sinful lifestyle.

The great tribulation is coming into view, and you can see it start to take shape with the reaction to Corona virus. I always wondered how Christians will be 'hated' in the last day, and seeing how the masses are reacting to the 'unvaxed', it's not hard to see how those who refuse to be of the beast's system will garner hate.

Our eternal souls are at fate and many will see things like meteors, disasters, 'fallen angels' coming as aliens and much more. People think that they will simply 'take the vax' and life will go back to normal, but it's not going to happen. We are heading into tribulation. Stay spiritually prepared, and also physically and mentally. Start stocking up again and start preaching the gospel of Jesus.

Alot of people have a reporobate mind

I'm thankful even through all my wrongs in life I still have the Holy Spirit tugging at me

Interesting that this thread popped up, when I was just in the thread where the British black brotha was saying why he “hates” the black community…

may biggest though was that we’ve strayed away from the “church” and not the building but our “communal faith” I know we ALL aren’t and won’t be Christians but the church used to mean something. It was respected in our communities. We had grandmas and other family members that would take us (or force lol) and we could at least have SOME moral foundation. Some respect…we’ve b*stardized what the church means, and let it be infiltrated and corrupted by money and the love of it.

we’ve gotten away from that foundation, bc we were “forced” to go, so we told our kids that they didn’t HAVE to go…thus, we lost some of that moral foundation. Couple that with some of what I’ve read in this thread, about the church’s message and teachings becoming lukewarm and “of the world” we wanna tickle ears instead of saving souls! Instead of preaching and teaching what’s right. We have become very PC and our generations are suffering because of it.

we don’t have to be religious zealots but putting the church back in the foundations of our communities could def help. Even the singers now, they all whisper and really don’t have them JHud type voices bc we took them out the church lmbo (at least that’s what I like to think) they all got them Jene Aiko voices…but seriously, we need that foundation back. Heck, at least respect and learn from the OGs/elders kids don’t even do that anymore…will cuss or do dirt right in their face…or worse, come at them if they dared speak to them about it smh

I agree. Churches were the cornerstone of our community. How we networked, the respect of the pastor, deacons, elders taught you respect to authority figures at a young age. Now it's gone.

It's paramount to read the Bible for yourself. This year I've started reading it more than ever and other books and my eyes are being opened more. There is a reason prophets were being killed , stoned, had to always be on the run etc. They told it how it was.

All these fake pastors nowadays don't want to say anything that could shorten the tithes, get them off tv, have them condemned in newspapers etc.

You see people in church not married and you know they living together pumping out kids but preachers stay silent.

Brehs do you think women can be pastors?

I'm going to say a lot of men have the same feeling on this but there's only a few willing to say what it is.
No women can't really be pastors, the men don't respect it. That's going to be the main problem in that situation. Women can speak on the Word of God and be given a platform especially among women, but the leader position is always a man's.

This goes back to what God told all of us in the Garden of Eden.

16 To the woman He said,
“I will greatly multiply
Your pain in childbirth;
In pain you will give birth to children;
Yet your desire and longing will be for your husband,
And he will rule [with authority] over you and be responsible for you.

Every man doesn't have authority over every woman, but it says the husband rules over the wife. In general that means men were meant to lead. God was talking to all men through one man, the first man, Adam. Even with what God said to the woman we can see it play out today. Women seek out how to attract men. All are definitely not fit to be a wife, but that's what they do.

Now going back to the church situation. Women are created by God for their role, to be the emotionally inclined part of the two because they have to raise children. This is one thing the enemy knows and manipulates.
Women are emotionally driven and their emotions are more true to them than any rational thoughts that can be spoken to them. Whatever their emotions say that's where they will go (that's what they beleive is true), good or bad. It can be a good thing or bad thing. That's not ideal for leadership, because leaders have to learn not to care about being the one that is hated and make decisions nobody agrees with at times when they know it's the right thing to do. Leaders know sometimes their decisions will get them killed. Men are usually the only ones willing to do this.

When men come to this realization is when you will see the true prophets stand out. There have been true prophets in previous generations, but it's my feeling that the baby boomer generation got real comfortable in their lifestyle and church turned into something more of a show than what it was really meant to be.

Prophets in the bible did things a lot of preachers don't dare do today. They understood the spiritual war that was going on, because they were a part of that culture with that knowledge. Today a lot of the bible is lost on people because a lot of the bible is lost in translation. It's centered around Jerusalem which is a long way from the West, travel and culture wise. The original greek and hebrew words used in the bible have lost some meaning through translation and don't have the same impact because a lot of it is based on ancient Mesopotamian history and ancient history in general that is not studied in the West.

But prophets in the bible were also not the average person in their time either. They were unusually close to Yahweh Elohim. It's also dangerous to be that close to the God of gods. If you mess up, it can be a death sentence. There's stories in the bible that show this.

Guys, especially you religious people who thinks Jesus will come back and torture anyone who isn’t 100% believer. Y’all better be careful and apply your natural intelligence to the things u believe.

Revelation 19:11-16 KJV
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. [12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

For some reason, the topic of earthquakes has been on my mind and while reading the Bible, I came across this verse:
Hebrews 12
25 See to it that you do not refuse [to listen to] Him who is speaking [to you now]. For if those [sons of Israel] did not escape when they refused [to listen to] him who warned them on earth [revealing God’s will], how much less will we escape if we turn our backs on Him who warns from heaven? 26 His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the [starry] heaven.”

Hopefully nothing happens, but I believe this to be the next big disaster

Faith is so incredibly important to God. To not have faith in God is to essentially tell the Creator that He is a liar and cannot do what He said He will do. It's like you're at work and you have a boss who says he believes you are a great worker and know how to get things done, but is always watching you, questioning you and micromanaging you. In that regards, the actions undermines the words. We not only have to believe God exists and that Jesus is our savior and the son of God, but we also have to believe the PROMISES of God. We have to stop worrying because we will believe God will guide us where we need to be. This is how important having faith is
Revelation 21:8
8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Psalm 101
3 I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.

Hebrews 11
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Something we have to keep in mind is that simply believing in our mind is not enough. We have to validate our professed beliefs with our actions.

James 2: 14-16
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

This is why the Bible says study to show thyself approved. A lot of churches are flat out deceiving or lying to their congregation, telling them that simply believing is enough. Without works, your faith is dead, and that makes perfect sense. Now the distinction comes in that your works ALONE won't save you. We have to believe Jesus died for our sins, is the son of God and follow after Him, but we also need to have a body of work that confirms our faith... meaning we can't merely 'think about the poor'. We need to feed and clothe them. We can't merely imagine ourselves being good. We need to reflect that in our interactions with others.

If you are 400 lbs, which is a sinful, deathly obese state, it's not possible to say you truly believe in a specific diet to lose that weight and get into a healthy state if you never do anything the diet requires. As followers of Jesus, we are to produce fruits of righteousness and those come about by doing the things in the Word and having an actual body of work that validates who we are and confirms what we believe in.

Also, think of a gang member. They require those who profess to believe in the gang to 'put in work'. You have to have a body of work to validate who you are.

But the works are a result of our faith. The works are NOT of our own doing but Jesus in us doing those works, so in a sense it is all based on faith. The works come from yielding to the spirit in us.
