You can reset positions.

And yeah, a lot of that is nitpicking

How? I've been doing it by demoing the move and the just cancelling out of it. Is it one of the Select + [insert button] commands?

And it's nitpicking but it's why I disagree with your opinion on TTT2's Practice being as good as VF's Dojo.

Blasphemy.

It's better than it was on Tekken 6, but it doesn't stand up to VF5:FS Dojo mode AT ALL.

You can pin the commands and toggle through them, but you have to press 2 buttons to do so. This is wack for stick users IMO. I've gotten used to it after spending a lot of time in this mode, but still... It just doesn't go to the next move like it should, it doesn't even notify you if you did the combination or move/combo correctly either.

Another thing that it doesn't have is a simple reset button where you can just put your character back in the middle of the stage. This would come in handy when you're practicing juggle combos and TAG Assault stuff. You have to demo the move and then cancel out of the demo to reset the characters. Not terrible but still, not as easy as pressing a button.

AND another thing I don't like about it is how the inputs don't automatically change when you switch sides. It only displays what you should be inputting in from the 1P side. VF does this on the fly according to your position.

Now you might find this post as nitpicking in nature or whatever, but I've spend literally HOURS in VF's Dojo mode. And I've spent more time in TTT2's Practice mode than I have actually in matches because I'm really trying to get the basics down in this game so I'm not just smashing buttons when I get in matches. The thing I love about VF's Dojo mode is how easy it is to just go through moves and how easy it is to reset and start your combo training over. I tend to have to practice shyt over and over and over and over again to feel comfortable with it...The things I mentioned make it hard to do that like I'm accustomed to.

Yea you are really nitpicking..

Don't listen to this fakkit golden gloves about the training mode... Golden Gloves if you're not a fakkit, my apologies but you sound like one bytching about having to press 2 buttons to go to the next move...

And yes you can put the command list on the screen while you're practicing in real time, and Yes you can scroll back in forth up and down the command list in real time without having to go back into the full list.. all you do is is hit select+R1 or select+L1.. or hit Triangle to watch the CPU perform the move...

I personally prefer to manually go to the next move instead of it automatically going to the next move after I input the notations, so I can keep doing the move over and over until I memorize it

And yes you can reset your position to the middle or ANYWHERE on the stage...

You can also take control of the CPU, record yourself doing a string of moves, switch back to your character.. have the CPU do that string of attacks you recorded while you practice defending against it...

Tekken Tag training mode absolutely shyts on VF training mode. Its nowhere near as incomplete as T6 training mode was..

Here's an more accurate walkthrough of the training mode

While I can see GGs point on the dojo differences, I prefer this method as well. IMO, it's apple and oranges over which is better in that regard as VF's method is better if you just want to quickly run thru a movelist and considering that VF characters overall don't have as many moves as Tekken's does, it's a bit easier to run thru the gamut of moves, but Tekken's way makes it easier to stick with a move until you know it before proceeding onto the next, as if you wish to do that in VF, you have to pause the game and select to hold the move from the movelist. So it's really just a matter of preference and how one wishes to practice their moves in regards to which is better.

I've said from the jump that it's inconvenient pressing select + whatever with a stick. If you play with a pad it's different.

None of what you posted changes my opinion on that. Now the reset position option will come in handy, because I was doing the demo and then cancelling just to reset the shyt.

And no you're still wrong about it shytting on VF's Dojo Mode

We are at the point where we are arguing about the training mode prompts. That in itself should tell you that the game is heat.

Wasn't trying to change your opinion... just trying to correct your misinformation..

The only thing VF training mode has thats worth anything is the fact that they display each moves positive and negative frame data

Played this game heavy last night. Its the same as tekken 6 and the new characters are insulting. There are literally 3 eddies in this game now. :snoop:

How long have you been playing Tekken? This game is just a dream match. TTT2 has every character in the universe except Gon. Of course there are going to be clones.

Its a spit in the face to the fans. Namco is losing their imagination. Could have at least added some new legit characters for friends. Every new character is a mix of another character. Its sad. You would think by now they would have had enough time to give more style to separate each clone character from one another and give them their own soul, but now.
