He's leigt one of the biggest disappointments of this era.
Had all the tools to possibly win one, his backhand, forehand, serve, return and speed are all money. Can make all the shots but lacks tactical nous and doesn't play the game the right way, hangs too far back from the baseline and his conditioning is hot garbage.
Give Gilles Simon those weapons starting out and for sure he would've won a couple Masters at least, huge waste of talent is what Monfils will ultimately be rembered for.
Nice to see him tighten it up in the last few years though, shame it's too little too late.
