Fed will always be GOAT in my eyes because his prime was better than anybody else's. I'd compare it to prime Pedro for baseball pitchers. Maybe Joker winds up with a better career (though he still isn't there yet) but Fed's best was the greatest.

My theory is the lack of comp (or that he was just THAT great) in his specific age group is the reason he struggled so much against Nadal. He didn't adjust to Nadal until later in his career. I'd put it like this: Nadal adapted so he could beat Fed while Fed kept his focus on the field at large. So while Fed was killing everybody else and Nadal would get picked off here and there by others, Nadal got better against Fed until he was winning most of their matchups.

Nole will end up with the most accolades/records, that's for sure. IMO he ends up at 24 GS with Rafa at 22 and Roger at 21. Nole already has most #1 weeks, most M1000. Double GS, double M1000. Stats wise, he will end up ahead with a good gap and him being the youngest of the 3 is also a reason why.

I still prefer Roger to him though. I think Roger's longevity and him being able to still beat a prime Nole at RG or push him to a 5 setter in wimby's final in 2019 shows that he may not have had great competition before Nadal but he was still that good anyway.

Regarding Rafa, IMO, he was the absolute antithesis of Roger with being a lefty the most important trait. I dont see many timelines where Rafa a isnt a pain to Fed.

When you think about it, the big 3 has stiffled 3 gens of players : Roger's gen (Hewitt, Roddikk, Haas etc.), Rafa/Nole's (Ferrer, Tsonga, Del Po, Murray...) and the new one (Tsitsi and them).

Any other era would have most of their top 10 with at least 2/3 GS titles. Rafole's gen has had it the worst because of them :skip: They still have at least 2 good years of dominance and then the next gen will take over so that's why Im not too worried.

Tsitsi is 23, Zverev 24, Thiem 26, Med is 25 and they already account for several GS finals, M1000 wins, ATP finals wins and one GS win. They are doing good in exceptional big 3 times. There are are the new canadian, US and italian waves coming but they are not yet up to par so they still have time IMO. I wouldnt be too harsh on them... yet :lolbron:

What I would say to back that up is a comparison of their play styles. Novak (as well as Nadal) wear people down and out. Long points, long rallies and long matches. Fed was quick and painless. The points and rallies were generally short and to the point. The precision is something I'm not sure we'll ever see again. He was dotting lines from anywhere on the court.

Bruh with the new gen, im wondering if i prefer them to be like how the WTA is and it seems like everyone wins slams and not just a few folks dominating or would i mind if 2-4 folks rack up on slams like Rog, Rafa, and Novak do and everyone else get in where they fit in :jbhmm:.

Like do I wanna be in 2027 and Medvedev has 8 slams, Stef has 6, and Zverev :mjlol: has 5. Weird because they dont seem to have the different playing styles and personalities the big 3 have. They just seem like robots even tho Med is known for fukkery every now and then

FAA playing well against Roger but Fed is making plenty of UEs in this set.
