Not a surprise honestly. This would be his 3rd or 4th 1st round exit at Wimbledon. Grass isn't a good surface for him, and he hasn't played since RG.

i liked tennis much more in the 90s, before they dumbed down the game and you didn't see clowns like Bruguera or Muster for 11 months of the year

That's an unacceptable loss by Sissy. You can't get skunked in the first round after being up two sets in a GS Final. These young guys never fail to disappoint.
