He really is. He's similar to Novak in how he approaches things and his tactics. He can really get into his opponents heads
When has he played up like this though? Usually, he's damn near in the stands on returns. We've been bytching for 4-5 years about Med's return position.
They showed a graphic showing his return position against Zverev. Was over 20 feet behind the line in the first two sets he lost, then around nine feet in the final three sets he won.
Med's also serving flawlessly.

Just seems like Medvedev can read Sinner's speed and timing on his serve easily. So no need to move all the way back
