Wimbledon is the most prestigious but RG is much harder to win IMO
Out of all the 4 majors RG is the one with less (multiple) wins by legends like McEnroe, Sampras (0), Agassi, Federer (1) or Djokovic (3)
Nadal, Bjorg and Kuerten were just anomalies

Its not beyond the realms of the 'Old' trainers giving tainted supplements/drinks to their athletes and them no knowing what they take. While it does sound like filmsy excuse it was common method of giving athletes enhancers in the past.

Thing is Italians are up there with the US China and Russia when it comes to doping. Anytime I see an Italian fails a piss test.
