I think he’s capable of getting past Carlos on hard court (he reads his serve really well) and there is some mental scar tissue there for Carlito.

He’s got no chance against Sinner…Sinner hits too big, moves too well and just does Joker’s game now better than he physically can. It’s like the T-100 playing the T-1000

Yeah, the issue is he needs to likely play both if he is going to win. Otherwise, he needs to just hope one of them are upset.

Watching that 2011 USO SF live was remember Fed going up 2 sets and thought “well this will be over soon” and a few hours later, seeing that match point return winner was

Nole stole 2 Nadal vs Fed match ups at the USO cause from 2011 until Fed retired, their (Nadal and Fed) fall hard court games never peaked at the same time where a USO meeting was possible (outside of 2017 when Delpo beat Fed a round before a Nadal match up was possible)

2013 - Fed “slump”
2014 - Nadal - DNP
2015 - Nadal slump and upset to Fognini
2016 - Nadal slump and upset to Pouille, Fed DNP

2019 was supposed to be the year but his body gave out again. All those deep runs in the 2000s killed his body later in his career.
