My homie Jannik did it !!!! :blessed:

What made this a great win was that Jannik's forehand was TERRIBLE majority of the match. On top of rarely getting any first serves in
He overcame it by serving very well when it counted in the tiebreak, and the last 5 games of the match. Clutch
What was also surprising was that Sinner was winning the long rally exchanges against Alcaraz as well:leon:

So happy for Jannik, impressive win

I’m musing something right now; who the hell will be the next NEW #1?

Currently only Djokovic, Sinner, Alacaraz, and Medvedev have ever been ranked #1 who’s currently in tour.

I don’t know if that person is currently even ranked in the top 50

If pressed to pick then I'd say Ben Shelton but he's the same generation as Sincaraz; more long term I'd go with Mensik, Fils or even Fonseca

Jannik Sinner walks like he is in constant pain but still moves pretty well, especially for a lanky person.

Alcaraz out there looking like JCF was the only Coach to keep him focused.

Carlos holds 3 of the major titles rn and still lost the #1 ranking, thats how hard Jannik's been cleaning up at the 1000s :wow:

Uhhh maybe because Sinner won 2 of the last 5 Grand Slams, and was in 4 of the last 5 Grand Slam Finals as well?

Just a thought lol

Weird bringing up his 1000s record when he had nearly the same success at Grand Slams as Carlos lol
