I didn't know. I didn't knooooooow....
I remember when Safin beat Pete at the 2000 US Open.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Australian_Open_–_Men's_Singles
forgot how gully that tournament was in general
Djokovic was a qualifier and Safin beat him 6-0 6-2 6-1
Nadal made a run unseeded and lost to hewitt
safin beat djokovic, federer and hewitt on his home turf in the finals
he might be the only player to beat djokovic, agassi, sampras and federer in grand slams. he mustve beaten at least 10 current or former #1 world ranked players in his career

I was HEATED when Fed Dawg beat Pete.

Yeah, in the 2nd, I noticed he was often slicing it while I knew for a fact that he could flatten it as he often did against Novak in the French Open semi. He started serving flat in the 3rd but it was not good enough and/or too late. That was disappointing. I don't know how you felt it but I thought he was just scared of Fed's block returns which are top notch on grass so he had to get the ball away from him at all cost on the 1st otherwise Fed would have 'chip and charge'd. Anyway, props to Fed who was on his A+ game so it's not like Murray blew it.
Thats Sara Errani status
. Strategically, he wanted to rally baseline so being afraid of a block return, which should enable an offensive groundstroke that dictates the point would be incredibly soft if you're right. I dont think he was prepared to hit aggressively early in points in general..most of his winners were mid to deep in rallies and on the run. Lendl is rolling in his grave.

it truly is a blessing.I got into watching Tennis in 2003. What a way to be introduced by watching Fed in his prime![]()
If they both played tomorrow, i'd favor Novak in 4. Since they will have a days rest, i'll say Fed gets revenge and win in 4.
As Nadal fan, i'm in purgatory; a Fed win pushes him farther from Nadal and a comfy 4 slam cushion and a Novak win leaves him only 5 slams away from equaling Rafa (who I think only has 2 more slams victories in em).
Tough times![]()
how the Final might play out already.

this dude is awful
