Federer came out aggressive and a good game plan. It seems in the last 2-3 years Fed has started to say fukk it and attack Novak and Rafa more so than he did before. He admitted he used to play bytchmade against Rafa because he lost so many of their early encounters on clay.

The moment fed has second serve a few times Novak punishes him. Fed has to serve at an insane level to keep Novak off his back.

as a Rafa fan, i'd prefer Fed to win as oppose to Novak. 18-16 with the USO and AO would put Novak square on Rafa heels to make it 18 up going into the French next year. 21-18 ain't THAT insurmountable with Rog nearing 40. Rafa can't catch Fed though by only winning the French. He needs to win the USO in the worst way this year or next year.
