As one of the few Serena haters on this board who can't stand her and thinks she's a brat...that wasn't as bad as I expected. She did her usual, "it was all my fault" and not giving any credit to her opponent routine, which is childish, but she didn't lash out as much as I anticipated.

Osaka flat out said in her presser that she cant handle the pressure right now. Its actually funny how candid she is in general.

Coco on the other hand seems to thrive off pressure. I wonder how many slams she'll have by the time she's Osaka's age
Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s not that many. It’s easy when you’re not expected to do anything. Look at Naomi now that she’s the hunted not the hunter.

Just woke up to see GOAT barely survived :damn:

Bruh it felt like EVERY shot Millman hit that would normally go long would just somehow drop and catch the line. shyt was :wow: to witness. Fed dug deep thought cause there were times he was losing rallies when they both were going to each other's FH's.

Roanic should beat Cilic (two straight 5 setters) and we know what Novak is gonna do to little Diego

I just watched the tie break. That dig on match point was incredible. :wow:

Fed was missing some shots and his UEs were pretty high, but he wasn't playing poorly. Millman was just in his bag all night. That felt like watching Stan against Novak or Nadal when he catches fire and they're just helpless.

fukk rankings, that was a great win by Fed. Hats off to Millman. That was probably the match of his life, even moreso than the US Open win since Fed was clearly zapped by the heat. Felt bad for him when he was walking up to the net after the final point. You could see how much that loss hurt.

@grazazaza i can see how players and coaches get into dating because of all the time and energy they spend with each other but professionalism has to reign supreme. And the chick was 19? Yikes
Yeah if true that’s a big no no there is too much at stake at that level for it to be comprimised over personal stuff

Come to think he coached her from 2017 til early 2019 with two slams to show that’s a hell of a run :wow:

Man Osaka messed up in switching coaches after she won the AO last year. That's really all it comes down to. Ever since that switch from Sascha Bajin, she's only won 2 tournaments.

There were these rumors last year lol

I guess we wont know if this was the case until years past but they should have worked it out Bajin was one of the main recipes for her development and success

During the match, the announcers said her new trainer makes her do surprise runs at 4 AM, waking her out of a dead sleep like a military exercise. :what:

What is the point of that? Tennis players are on set schedules. Why the fukk would you shock her system like that? She isn't gonna get woken up in the middle of the night to play a Grand Slam event. :mjtf:

Fritz and Dasco im not sold on Zverev in slams yet :hubie:

Me either. It's like they dont have the mental power to substain a certain level of play over 5 sets. Also, like Tsitsipas...what exactly is Sasha's reliable shot or attribute? They aren't big servers, aren't defensive wizards like Novak and Rafa, aren't well rounded offensively like Fed.

At least with Med he's shown he can hang with them and have the retrieving skills defensively to make them work (the big 3 that is) and if push comes a shove, he can hang with them from the baseline
