id also like to note that federer has the best all around game and is the best all around tennis player of all time.
He has a complete game but he's being overtaken, he won't go down as the GOAT.

Not sure about that, Novak may have the better all around game. Novak is the best returner of all time and you could argue is the better baseline player between the 2. Yes Fed's serve is better, hence why he's won so many Wimbledon titles but Novak is a legitimate threat at all 4 grandslams. Pretty sure Nadal would rather face prime Fed than prime Novak at the French.

They can have that, that doesn't change the fact he most likely won't be the most accomplished player

I just brought that up because GOAT conversations usually boil down to biases & personal preferences

from the ground up, if I were to build the perfect player, it'd be Novak but personally, Fed is my GOAT

When its all said and done, Federer and Nadal will only be footnotes in the GOAT conversation... the numbers wont lie.

Nole will stand alone as the best in history I can't see anyone surpassing him.

Hes the greatest of all time from a pure skills perspective

You failed to mention his volleying and finesse game as well. The others dont have close to that caliber

Novak has the best all round game from a pure tennis observation. Fed has a way of making it look easy and elegant which the fans like. If you were to teach a kid you would base it more around Novak game then Fed.

Disagree

He is mentally tougher though

Edit: teaching to play like Djokovic would be easier than to teach how to play like fed so perhaps.

Fed did not start declining in 2011

slams:

that looks like a 2011 drop off .. with a small second wind in early 2017 and 2018.

atp finals:
you can see who he started to lose against in the atp final list

Thing is Djokovic's game can change to suit every opponent and nullify them. Federer is beautiful to watch:ohlawd: but can be exploited as we've seen against Djokovic especially on match point on his serve a number of times
