Those three are on another level of mental toughness and competitiveness.
Medvedev is the best of the next generation of guys and the way he folded/choked against Nadal in the AO Final was embarrassing. Nadal was ready to roll over and go home and he completely locked up for two and a half straight sets. Never seen anything quite like that although the Tsitipas FO meltdown was really bad too. He didn't recover from that until this year's AO.
Any Slams these guys win (Med, Zverev, Thiem, Sissy, Tini...feel like I'm forgetting one or two...I don't count Alvarez and FAA with them) I'm not gonna view the same.
I have to disagree. Its something a bit deeper than that.
Djokovic today has more stamina and endurance than he did when he was 20. This was a guy who quit a grand slam because it was too hot. Then in 2011, he turns to a returning cyborg with unlimited stamina
Nadal's body was supposed to be breaking down since he was 24, yet here he is at age 35 and he looks fresher in the 4th and 5th set of Australian Open Grand slam than 24 year old Medvedev
Don't get me started on Federer's absurd 2017 season. A guy who was an afterthought as a serious grandslam winner became resurrected again in his mid-30s
Tennis is the most physically grinding sport and those guys are on some very high level gear. There's been rumours for years. Not saying they aren't extemely talented but that'll explain their absurd dominance in the most sensible way, not mental toughness and competitiveness.
