The only reason she's one game away from the semi-final now is because Kostyuk's first serve vanished up 5-1 in the first set. But if there's anyone that can mind-wipe this performance and refocus, it's Coco.

You right the player from Ukraine choking no doubt

But let's keep it 100 Coco is playing sub par tennis

And this is coming from a Coco fan, I actually want Coco to win the Australian Open

I missed a majority of this game, I'm pissed :mjcry:

Did she lose the first set because she was struggling with her serve, or was it something else?

Coco got it together when she needed to. Not sure why she was so nervous/sloppy today but all that matters is she advanced. I need her to work Sabalenka again.

Kostyuk's mentally breaking.

Kostyuk has been losing this match more than Coco's been winning it. The difference is in mental fortitude. Doesn't even seem like Coco has many winners, just staying with it despite Kostyuk's good player and her own errors.

Fritz is probably gonna lose this in straights but this is the best I've ever seen him play. He's been aggressive throughout, even on big points. I mean really leaving nothing in the bag. Basically, the complete opposite of Medvedev against Djokovic.

Edit: That was an incredible hold. He might win the second set.
