Still gonna say Sinner is the best on Hard courts. Not even a calendar year that has past and he lost to Djokovic in the 2025 Australian Open on hard courts
I think people use the "when Alcaraz ups his level" as an excuse whenever he loses. Then wen he does lose, people can say "oh he wasn't taking it seriously"
Let's see what happens next year

This USO reminded me of Nadal’s 2010 US OPEN run.
Remember that year Nadal decided to serve “big” (relative to his serve) and was only broken once before making to the final? Felt like the same with Alcaraz deciding to be aggressive all tournament

Credit to Alcaraz who played some excellent tennis and deservedly won, however, Sinner was trash and this was incredibly routine.
The h2h is looking lopsided AF and considering this is a hard court it was quite an embarrassing performance for Sinner.
As far as majors go Alcaraz really has the opportunity to turn this so called rivalry into one where he’s going up against a punching bag especially if he starts eating more into the hard court slams. Australia will be very telling.

I think Shelton could be the one but similar to Djoko he'll have to break the glass ceiling at some point. Talent wise, he may need to improve his backhand but I think he already has all the tools plus he's a lefty which is always a plus in tennis. What remains is reaching champ mentality.
I also think Draper or Fritz could be the new Wawrinkas in regard to slams though Draper is too one dimensional IMO and Fritz is 27 already.
For the rest, Fils already has physical issues, Rune had a spark when he started but that's all, Fonseca is overhyped, FAA is probably lacking in shot making.
There's also Mensik who is very young but I'll be honest, I haven't watched him enough to have a proper opinion.

Could be someone under the radar. I would look at any of the 19-21 years old climbing up the rankings quickly. Someone who will be entering their physical peak in the next couple of seasons.Or maybe Bulgarian Steve Smith. Who won junior Wim and US. Why Steve Smith some may ask. Because Ivan Ivanov is common as phuck like Steve Smith is in the sporting world.
