joker has to deal with older players .. which is pound-for-pound "easier". definitely easier than dealing with them when they were younger.
So Fededer didn’t deal with lesser competition and older players before Nadal came on the scene? This line of thinking is funny because it seems its always Djokovic that had some kind of advantage on the tennis tour all these year which is utter garbage. They all won big but it should never be discounted that Djokovic dominated in the most difficult and deepest tour to date.
fed had to deal with an imperious nadal before the injuries, on clay, costing him more F/Os than nadal cost joker.
Nadal was imperious throughout the years regardless, he was no less a clay court player than when he was going up agianst Djokovic and the rest of the field for those years. He was still routinely winning the FO with dominating performances, Fededer simply wasn't good enough on clay and his game especially the backhand was a weakness that's on him. Djokovic was clearly the better clay court player.
it's obvious. i'm not going to explain it again.
Whatever, if you remove any of them the other two eat more. It's a moot point.
it is not just the age difference. it is the mileage and the individual "physical age". nadal's injuries aged him. fed tailed off physically relatively early.
They ALL have mileage, do you know how many matches Djokovic has played? Nadal's game style resulted in injuries but that's on him and how he approached the sport and despite this he was still able to consistently produce his best tennis especially at his favoured event, you don't get extra points because you wear yourself into the ground with how you play.
Nadal had injuries but always came back strong and Fededer didn't tail off phsycially early, he simply wasn't able to beat those two enough These excuses don't hold up when you consider their rankings, results over that period.
What is DJokovic, some mutant that had the body of a 20 year old for close to 20 years?
