For the past few days I've been fascinated by this guy's channel on city development (The Strong Towns playlist is pretty compelling).
He's a Canadian who traveled the world for work and eventually settled in Holland. It's no secret to anyone who watches his videos that he really, really hates the American and Canadian style of city development that are car-dependent. And he makes very strong arguments using economics for why they are actually terrible.
In this video he highlights Riverdale, Toronto as a suburb "done right".
I have to say, he's got a convincing argument.
I'm curious what people who actually live in Toronto would have to say about the video below (17 minutes long)

I'd love to visit some of these cities and I would agree that they are more beautiful than the sprawled out cities we have in America.
And not because of his videos but lately I've had a desire to buy a bicycle. lol
