Goatganda the pearl of Africa
I'm not scared. for being 3% we have a much bigger cultural impact. We don't just exist in our own safe pockets. In the grand scheme of things Black people in Canada have done well and are more influential than their numbers reflect. A testament to our strength.

We made TORONTO HOT INTERNATIONALLY. A bunch of immigrant kids.

A lot of other people either assimilate or live back home style no middle ground. You see it with Asians they either all the way with white folks or In their own communities. This is not a condemnation but it has reduced their impact on their new home in a cultural way. Just having a bunch of different types of food to try is not culture. The interesting things that happen in places like scarborough where people were forced to mix and live together are culture. Thats why you get an Indian like Russell Peter who is well verse on all the people and cultures that were around him. I always find it funny when I meet a minority with all cac friends in a city like Toronto. How you do that?

except those races for teh most part stick together

I'm not saying being scared but we are so small

I remember back in the day it was the Carribean influx, then it was the Somali, then Haitians and all those loopholes have been closed

Now it's only the Africans who can afford outrageous international fees and then turn that degree into permanent residency

Back in the day you could just send for uncle Lloyd or cousin Marjorie from.foreign, now good luck even.your wife daisy with a kid born in Canada gotta fight tooth and nail to stay

Cheaper international fees for Francos :mjpls: I think black franco pop will increase slightly, especially when it will become easier for students to transition to permanent residency.

It is easier to immigrate to another province. This makes sense, seeing as Toronto is overcrowded.

Boardwalk and Park Place
:mjlol: It's over for black people, especially Caribbeans, in Canada. We'll never get an opportunity like we did in the 70's and 80's. The only black people with brains in their heads are the west Africans.

I went to my old neighborhood Allenbury Gardens a few months back. They tore up half the Government housing units and are working on condos. Theirs already a strong asian presence there now, so I would assume by 2020 they will talk over.
