A Brampton senior has been missing since Monday night, but was last spotted Tuesday in south Mississauga when his car broke down, according to Peel Regional Police.
Alfred Pantlitz, 73, was last seen by his family at 9:35 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20 when he left home in a 2007 Chrysler 300 with Ontario licence plate BHKJ394.
On Tuesday, Feb. 21, around 3:40 p.m., he approached a passerby in a residential neighbourhood in the area of Dundas Street and Mavis Road, according to police. He asked for help with his broken down car, and a tow truck was called. The tow truck driver, unaware the senior was reported as a missing person, took the car and Pantlitz to a transmission shop on nearby Wolfedale Road.
Police said Pantlitz reportedly did not appear to be in distress, and he left the shop on foot in an unknown direction.
He hasn't been seen since, and police believe he may be lost. His family and police are concerned for his well-being.
He is described as black, 5-foot-8, 130 pounds, with brown eyes, short black receding hair, and was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a black baseball cap, black sweater and running shoes. He speaks with a Guyanese accent.
Anyone who has seen Pantlitz or knows where he is should call 22 Division detectives at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233.
