There aren't any Canadians in Guantanamo anymore.You're making up an imaginary fault line to justify agreeing with Sun/CPC demagoguery. This has zero to do with black people. They cut short a legal proceeding that they would be certain to lose and decided to settle half the asking price.
You do realize there is zero chance Khadr would've lost what his compensation case? The Supreme Court ruled multiple times that his Charter rights were violated and that the Government was complicit. If anything the settlement saved the Government money on legal fees for on a proceeding they were certain to lose. If they were to take you and Reinscarf's favoured method and kept refusing for show they would likely end up paying a bigger amount.
Its also pure Sun/Rebel propaganda to make it seem as though Khadr was some sort of genocidal, terrorist who slit an unarmed medic's throat while he was treating civilians. The guy was a solider firing guns in a firefight, he wasn't tending to anyone and its been already mentioned countless times that there isn't clear evidence Khadr even threw the grenade. The case against him wouldn't even win a conviction in a Canadian court. T
