If its wack now that's reflective of this generation. Back in the day it was crazy live. I would see plates from NY, Texas, Florida, dudes brought their country ass rides all the way over the boarder etc... Yonge St would be a car show for 2-3 days straight. Still GTA, you know it borders Toronto right?
Peel, Vaughan - Markham are only the "cities"/areas they are because of Toronto. For example..Without Toronto - Mississauga isn't Mississauga. These aren't classic suburbs like in the states that are far away and have cookie cutter establishments, they're all literally bordering Toronto..look at a map. That's why the GTA is unique.
