There are a decent amount of black professionals in the financial district where i work.

Mostly finance/banking types, i know some brehs who rose up to some good posts.

But that is the exception to the rule. We are surrounded by nothing but mediocre white males who basically sleep walk their way to higher positions for simply being Jim, John, Scott.

I'm cracking 200k this year (no bragging since the govt is taking 51% of it back ) and grinded to get where I'm at. That is the underlying point which is you can't take shortcuts in this shyt. Take advantage of the system and finesse it to progress in your adult years. It increases your life expectancy dramatically, and you can live to see the fruits of your labor.

I have so much more to say, just my 2 cents.

I salute you. I hope to be making that much in at least 10 years time.

It's strange I don't know what the issue is but clearly some folks just gave up. Some folks just got fed into the lie of the "fast life". Some legit have no guidance/parents to tell them whats up. Volunteered around the city and I'm still puzzled by the way some of these folks act.

The ones that come from 2 parent households and not so bad neighbourhoods puzzle me the most. But generally speaking if you're growing up in government housing complex it's gonna be rough

@Karbaash - Honestly, I think a part of it is due to impatience. When you're an immigrant or a refugee with little, you have harder obstacles to achive the wealth that you covet. It's easier to deal drugs than it is to go to school, especially if you're not good at it or if your parents are working so hard that they can't cater to your academic needs. So, instead of trying to get a job with the TTC it might be easier to do illegal shyt.

Think about this for a second, especially for the 2 parent households, they emigrate to this country in search of a better life, education, opportunities for their children and future generations.

Only for these degenerates to live out a stereotypical caricature because of the media images they're bombarded with and CHOOSE to wild out, trap, and kill nikkas. This shyt boggles the mind especially for Canada these bums wouldn't last 6 months down south. Not even 6 especially with the Rockefeller laws, mandatory minimums on sentencing, profiling, hyper police brutality and overall bigotry. They have it so good and CHOOSE to act a fool.

I can't excuse them this is insanity.

My dude, my parents came to the country in 1990 right, my dad was a civil engineer in italy but these cacs said he'd have to go to uoft to upgrade.. My moms was pregnant with me at the time so my dad said fukk that i got a fam to support worked in the east end we grew up in williowridge which is by martingrove n eg but still i went to middle school at dixon grove i know alot of these young cats either doing dirt or getting bodied.. On some real, i just cant be looking at my ma behind a glass in the bin the amount they struggled for me to end up a bucket??
