Any of yall ever been to Thunder Bay?

Add anything you can on it
I was there for a few days for work in October. Can't say Im an expert on the town, but it seemed like Ontario's version of the Rust Belt/Upstate NY. Cold, with a struggling industrial base that used to be strong. Had the most First Nations people I've seen in Ontario as well.

York Regional Police say a man with a gun inside a Vaughan bank has been shot and killed by officers.

A four-month-old baby girl is fighting for her life in hospital and a woman has been arrested after an assault and stabbing in Etobicoke.

Toronto police were called to the lobby of a building on Sherway Gardens Road, near The West Mall and Evans Avenue, just before 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police said the baby’s critical injuries are related to an assault that happened before she was stabbed.

“Indications were the baby was assaulted in another way as well,” Const. David Hopkinson said earlier in the day, but did not say what the injuries were.

The man’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

The woman was also taken to hospital but her injuries are not life-threatening.

At a news conference later that morning, Det. David Knowles said at least part of the incident occurred in the lobby.

The relationship between the three people are not yet known, but Knowles said it is believed that they are residents of the building.

Building resident Joan Sloss, 70, said she saw paramedics while she was getting her mail in the morning, but initially did not think anything of it. She said learned about the incident after watching the news.

“I feel so bad for the baby,” Sloss said, noting that she did not know the people involved.

Tamara Lothian, 39, said she was heading to a doctor’s appointment when she saw ambulances and paramedics outside the building. Once she returned home, she said a member of the building’s cleaning staff told her what had happened.

“To hear it was a four-month-old baby is just so sad,” Lothian said.

Sylloo Bharucha, another building resident, said she was shaken by the incident.

“This is very upsetting,”‘ said the 72-year-old. “I hope the baby makes it.”
