Most cops are good. The few bad apples are the problem. That’s the excuse for dangerous, criminal and tragic behaviour from the peace officers we train, hire, arm, pay and charge to serve and protect.
We don’t tolerate “bad apples” as pilots or surgeons; we can’t have them as cops.
Imagine Air Canada excusing a few bad apple pilots who steer your air carrier into a mountain because they are bad apple drunk or drug addicted.
