Yea, thry don’t want to accept that thry can’t just simply make a virus go away by trying to ignore it. Cases once again are soaring all over the world including Ontario but cuz nikkas planned vacations, everything will be OK.

I’m not all for lockdowns but removing all mandates is retarded. And it’s only being done for votes.

No one cares until they have a bad reaction to it. People ARE dying, what do you mean? On top fo that, people who get it and recover..many are having terrible long term effects. That doesn't count for anything? I have no issue with loosed mandates. But, to let everything go is irresponsible. Folk talk about other parts of the world. I mean, most of the world couldn't even get organized with vaccines so I don't even count them, they had no choice. Then there are countries in Europe and Asia that removed all restrictions and then had to add them back.

I don't get the point in acting like shyt is sweet. I want to believe yall and think it's done with but I simply am not confident. We are here because the government decided to not follow science and decided that an election was more important.

I would have liked to see loosened mandates with masks being worn in indoor public spaces.

But aren’t most places in the world re opening and loosening restrictions? Are they all having elections to score political points by summer? Are doctors, scientists, epidemiologist around the world colluding somehow?

The vast majority across the board are giving the OK to re open and loosen restrictions - that’s why it’s happening around the world. If we’re following science and medical advice, then the consensus is that COVID is here to stay and we have to live with it. We can make adjustments along the way and make choices for our own personal lives (like you possibly getting a 4th and 5th booster, keeping your mask on and possibly staying home because you sound pressed) but we have to move on.

i have friends and family in HK. People there simply didn't give a fukk anymore, stopped wearing masks. And they mingled in groups after Chinese New Year and ate together, again not wearing masks.

It also exploded because it's Lunar New Year all over Asia, so people flew back to their hometowns to celebrate hence the quick and sudden spread of BA.2 over there

Many dropped restrictions and are dealing with surges. Some are locking shyt down again. At the end of the day $ is what counts and lives will be sacrificed. That's just how it is.

COVID is very much here but to act like it doesn't exist and treating that way is the best way is just reckless. I'm not pressed....I just call out bullshyt. How we go from lockdowns to lifting everything in a matter of weeks? And folk gonna have a straight face and tell people to move on. Move on sure, but also safely do it. What's wrong with that?
