I’ll try my best to steer my kid away from hockey. I played until age 11 and quit because I felt like an outsider. Reading all these reports of racial
incidents indicates to me that things have barely improved. Sure there are more black NHLers but the grassroots levels are still racist as fukk, I want my child to be in a safe environment when they do sports or any other activity.
