there are going to be mad layoffs we need to mass deport and halt immigration (once my wife gets her pr) for a while. There is no labour shortage. Even my work is laying off nurses

Hospitals don't have the budget anymore for all these full time staff.
A nurse with five years of experience is starting off at like 50 a hour
Speaking of jobs. It seems more and more are forcing RTO. When looking at job boards it seems it's much harder to find remote jobs and most are either hybrid or 5 days a week at office. It really does feel like they cracked down on WFH
I don't even think the average employed person knows how bad it is our there.
A few years ago we were literally begging people to stay and hiring en masse. Now a director or manager will leave and we will just see a director or manager with a few staff and then give them that unit.
We've let go of nurses, physiotherapists , managers, admin assistants etc. and every hospital is doing it
Lose your job tom you might be unemployed for like 10 months plus even more but liberals still doing draws and bringing in people left and right. Every western country is trying to cull immigration and cut things off except Canada.

Best way to get rid of people is RTO
Many people moved to like Hamilton, Waterloo, Barrie, Niagara, guelph etc. because you could work from anywhere or just sacrifice one or two days making the trek
Now it's 4 days at most banks and many places 5 days in for everyone suddenly that sacrifice you would make for two days is now 4-5
Economy is straight trash and jobs hard to come by so you can't even argue .
Seeing all of the major banks do that felt cold.
I had some friends that moved out of the GTA because they felt cheaper to live elsewhere and thought work from home is going to become the norm.. There's many that are gong to be in trouble with many major companies forcing RTO
Yup and real estate market is trash, anyone who bought in the past 3 years is prob carrying a mortgage that's more than the value of the house at this moment and would sell at a loss.

I know I might sound anti immigrant and all that but I'm not hell I'm sponsoring my wife and just applied for my citizenship on descent for my daughter
But we gotta lower these numbers severely. There is no labour shortage . International students should not be allowed to work , nor bring their spouses or kids over while on a study viss . Tfws should only be allowed for agricultural and if not some specialized role that business should be paying triple the rate.
