Leave all the wisdom and things you thought were cool but as you got older you realized it's pretty pointless or dumb.


For me, the older I get the more I realize being drunk or high is a waste of time. I'm sitting here thinking about smoking a bowl after a night of partying, laying in bed still drunk from the drinks tonight. Rooms kinda spinnin and I'm just sitting here feeling like my time could have been spent so much better had I not have gone out.

Also, the older I get the more I realize going out is not cool. I'm 23 now and I'm starting to really enjoy just hanging with friends, watching the game, having a little kickback/bbq over going out and seeing a bunch of randoms, tryna holla at chicks who are fickle on the follow-up/spending $30 for a night you really didn't enjoy for a couple of laughs then you end back at your place by 3am bored out of your mind.

I mean at times both happen, I realize that.

It's so short lived and pointless bro. Just pure futility. I see younger faces now that I'm older. Getting hammered, not being able to walk, or frontin on the boy even though they know I'm a good looking man.

It's just dumb man. From 18 to 21 I went out from thursday thru sunday, partying then hitting downtown. Holla'n at women, getting too wasted to even remember, poppin adderalls to keep me up, poppin xanny's to black out.

I've woke up naked in a random chciks kitchen before and had to run a half mile with nothing but her rug that I stole on my naked body to find my car.

I have some fun stories man, but at the end, it all means so little. Now I just feel like excelling in life so I have a reason to party. So many are out here partying without reason beyond it's the weekend. Its sad man.]

I think I'm really gonna hop on this kickback wave and start throwing mean kickbacks, with the right people so everyone can get to know each other and network rather than it being about getting smashed and finding a chick to hit from the back

Some things you just gotta experience. I've met cool people and made amazing memories with people from partying and drinking and smoking. And that was cool from 18 to 21. (I had a fake id early).

But somewhere a long the line it just hits you, I've done all there is to do. there is no point in doing it anymore. Ideally, I'd go hard from 18 to 19 then put in major work on myself and life/school from 20 to 23.

It hit me hard af, I had a boy get married this weekend. 2 of my homies just graduated and are moving soon, My best friend graduated last year and is now a high school teacher/coach (even though we grew up together being class clowns and hating school even if we were smart), peers are making big moves now.

It really hit me after we got back to our cars tonight after partying and my best friend who I only see every few months talked about how lame tonight was and told me it aint the wave anymore. Told me he's looking for a woman to settle down with, and to stay in and get some sleep now and he cant even pretend to be on the same wave anymore.
