I had heard a lot of songs via my brother always playing music, but the first time I heard a rap song and loved that shyt was

"King of Rock" by Run-DMC.

My mother had taped the video, and for whatever reason, that was the one that stuck with me. I was only 5. After that video, I wanted the album, I wanted to see Krush Groove when it came out...then when I saw Krush Groove, Run-DMC and the Fat Boys were my favorites. Then the following summer when Raising Hell came out- everybody had that shyt. The whole neighborhood was playin' that shyt every day that summer.

First rap song I ever heard was It's Tricky by Run DMC. Made my dad by me the tape at Payless store and played that tape till it wore out.

These were the first two hip hop songs I recall vividly when I first moved to the BX from Jamaica when I was 4

But , when this first released I was probably 8 or 9 thats when I really started to be intrigued by the whole concept of hip hop
