NeoGAF isn't representing the entire gaming community. When you have a short, content-lacking and mediocre cover based third person shooter that sells for full price...people aren't going to buy into the graphics horse
Like I said earlier, the game's length was fine on hard difficulty. Content was lacking because it didn't have DLC or MP? I could see the argument for multiplayer, but not every game needs to be 25+ hours.
People forget, it was the 1st game of the developers with new hardware and a new IP. Not everything can be a homerun.
And now the same people on GAF that complain about graphics for the next gen systems will have to deal with multiplatform titles catering the lowest denominator to run well on all systems, so this actually discourages innovation as a whole for the industry.
