Who are these dumbass negroes calling RYSE, a 3rd Person Action Adventure title, a fighting game?

Golden Axe and Streets of Rage are brawlers. Not fighting games. Hell, RYSE could be a brawler.

But it's not a fighting game.
Sir, excuse me sir *taps on glass*
Lets look up the definition of a brawl...
noun
1.
a noisy quarrel, squabble, or fight.
2.
a bubbling or roaring noise; a clamor.
3.
Slang. a large, noisy party.
verb (used without object)
4.
to quarrel angrily and noisily; wrangle.
Moving right along...
shyt on the Order to prop up Ryse? :wtf:

Why do you even own a PS4 @Leasy

Uncharted Overated but you prop up Tomb Raider? A series that was in the shytter until they rebooted and jacked Uncharted?
I once made a thread that was moved to Courtdog's Kennel titled "The PS4 is giving off radiation or something that makes people stupid" or I was saying it was demonic because it was making people stupid. Its both :manny: The thread was wisked away because a demonic presence presides over this forum :ohhh:

(Only explanation I have for the bwoi :yeshrug:)
:dwillhuh: in what world is ryse or streets of rage a fighting game?
Well, I believe all you do in those games is FIGHT. You don't drive cars, you don't play basketball. Its just you pop in a quarter, the timer starts ticking. You better fight your way out the area before the time runs out. Final Fight isn't a fighting game then :dahell:

I guess if I seen you in the street, and we started rumbling?
Nah :stop: We action adventuring my nikka :slapfight:

that oversimplification.....that dedication...:banderas:

using your logic means technically battlefield 4 is a fighting game...since in war you fight against an opposing army's fighting force. infamous is a fighting game since all you do is fight evil and zap people.

:ohhh: ..... 90% of video games are fighting games.....:mindblown:

You would need better examples since BF4 is a FPS game. You shoot shyt. You don't even fight nikkaz like that
You stab. But sometimes, they block you like the three stooges. Then you punch the nikka, then stab him in the neck
Totally different than a game that is straight up FIGHTING. But now you acting like you don't know the difference?

Do you wanna step outside? We can action adventure in the ally

  1. take part in a violent struggle involving the exchange of physical blows or the use of weapons:
    "the men were fighting"
synonyms: brawl · exchange blows ·
Nah breh you were right since we're using definitions 99% of video games are fighting games. If there is any kind of struggle, battle, or brawl its a fighting game. You can technically say racing games are fighting games too since your battling an opponent for first place. All video games are fighting games :ohhh:

War is a battle of armies fighting for control over objectives.

Bruh, you seem to have taken words out of context and played the role of a moron in doing so :stop:
You said BF4 is a fighting game because what? You seen a war movie where fighting took place?
How is that relevant to what we are discussing? It isn't

99% of games could be called fighting games? Only in your world. They don't make fighting games like that anymore. You couldn't name 9. What was the other game you said...Infamous :mjlol:
I'm certain you fly around with super powers to fight mostly. You can fight in it, but it isn't JUST A FIGHTING GAME like RYSE, Double Dragon/etc. Like I said, we didn't call them "beat em ups" back in those days.
I mean, maybe in mayberry? But not where I lived, and not in EGM which is like the bible of videogaming
River City Ransom was not a fighting game. It was an action adventure game, right :laff:

:snoop:

I don't even have to tell you what's wrong about this video and whatever point you're trying to prove here.

Climbing, rope swinging and shooting nikkas in games means it's copying?? I guess Ryse is copying shenmue. :troll:

Uncharted copying something else here i bet, Uncharted not the first to have a plane crash!!

I tried to play Ryse and I don't know if I lasted 2 hours with it. I made it to the jungle level and put the game down and never played it again. As for the Order 1886 I loved it. Finished it a few days after it came out.

I guess it'll likely never be officially confirmed that the franchise is dead but this situation is kinda like Heavenly Sword and Ninja Theory. Game didn't light the world on fire and Sony cut Ninja Theory loose. Nothing they've done since then has really caught on and Heavenly Sword was one and done.
The sequel to Heavenly Sword, Hell Blade is on the way though.

Let me put the coffee down brehs

@Rekkapryde @Fatboi1 @PS4 @Kamikaze Revy

I don't know why I was tagged in this but the way I see it is like this. Tomb Raider is the OG that laid the ground work for this sub genre of exploration/action/platforming game. The very first Tomb Raider for PS1 was ground breaking and set the standard for these types of games and for many years Lara Croft reigned supreme and rightfully so. However, the series became stagnant. Lets not forget that they tried to reboot Tomb Raider three times before this last game came out.

These games while fun in their own right, were not received at all with the level of praise that the original trilogy received. Along came Uncharted, which built on the platform Tomb Raider created and took it in the direction the series should have gone from the beginning. The story, the graphics, and the gameplay completely destroyed the previous Tomb Raiders. Overall, the game was simply better than Tomb Raider. Now with the most recent Tomb Raider the tables were turned. It was Lara's turn to now take notes from Nathan Drake and they created a series reboot worthy of the name Tomb Raider, with exceptional gun play (Something Uncharted was weak at), great graphics, and a story you could actually follow (even though the majority of the characters were corny).

Will uncharted 4 be better than the rise of the tomb raider now? I don't know. (And since I own all the systems I don't care). I will say that the competition is exciting and when there is competition it forces developers to think outside of the box to provide new experiences in their games.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I had my fingers crossed and have been blindly wishing for a series cross over game eventually where Drake and Lara run into each other and have to work together to complete a mission.

Ehh i disagree. I never understood this point often said online because if the gunplay was so good, why was the MP so trash? Nobody really played the MP but yet Uncharted had really good MP that was very popular. Uncharted 2 had like 40k daily players online. I think most people actually hasn't played Uncharted in a while so their memory of what it played like is wrong. Go play Uncharted 2 again and you'll see. TR is on par with Uncharted 1s gunplay.

They sold a beautiful looking game, wherein if I didn't play all Gears of War games, it would've been straight piff for me, but it wasn't. It's not a bad game by any means, but it wasn't a solid title either. If they wanted to show players how well the console could emulate graphics, they did so in spades. but the story, and gameplay were both quite boring or in more specific terms, passe.

I enjoyed ryse, it was a beat em up. I enjoy a good beat em up.

I use to love Streets of rage, Double dragon, Tmnt 2 and Manhattan project, TMNT in time, the xmen arcade beatem up, and more. Ryse was pretty much a next get beat em up... and when people say they didn't like it but want street of rage remakes and things, I understand why we dont get those.

People just like the nostalgia of those type game. Only a handful enjoy games like that. Not flying, jump and teleporting around a sandbox but for the most part go to point a to point b beating up groups of enemies.

that is a good point @Kamikaze Revy :ehh:

It might be a matter of preference like most things in life. Personally I think the gunplay/combat overall was better in the most recent Tomb Raider than Uncharted. Uncharted had a weird way of the making the reticle move upwards as you shot it. Sure this is how guns in real life work, but for a game it made it feel a bit unnatural to me. Also uncharted had a few enemies that were essentially HP sponges. In Tomb Raider you had a few of those as well but they gave Lara a versatile move set that when leveled up she was able to maneuver around enemies and take them apart like a ninja stabbing them in their legs with arrows and cracking them in the face with the pick axe.
Both games are REALLY good. I think the overall fan war is because people are dead set on these being console exclusives. If they were both multi-plat the conversation wouldn't be anywhere near as serious.
