I always find this funny, people try to treat it as some kind of expose'. But, 50 cent the rapper was very clear why he chose this moniker. He chose it to symbolize change in the rap game to be more authentic. He never denied fort green 50, he bigged him up, because of his stick up ways, and he didn't care for black rappers treating white gangsters like gods. I never forget him saying "Gotti" don't give a fukk about you nikkas. This is a very important statement, because after this statement "WILLOW" became "RICK ROSS".
