Same reason Nintendo can “get away with it” for Mario Kart, cause of the casual crowd who aren’t going to buy much else

I agree I just don’t be seeing the reason why people was mad at it being 80 .. is this the game I would have tried it? Hell no but I’d feel more comfortable paying 80 for this rather than a dlc for black ops 6

Realistically, people are going to be mad at any price increase, not even Mario Kart could escape criticism. The difference is the preorders for mario kart world and the preorders for Outer Worlds 2.

The complaints don’t really mean shyt. It’s the money, people vote with their wallets.

This might be worth checking the reviews on it. I liked the first game a lot, but they're leaning real hard into this being closer to Fallout New Vegas than the last one. I think I need to see how that works in practice in 2025 before assuming it's going to be as good as I think it can be.

Either way, there's a solid chance you might end up catching a deal for the two that you don't buy now sometime next month.
