Its a good game, way better than shytty Starfield. Expect to sell games well when you put games on GamePass day one breh!
First one was mid. I'm actually surprised they did a second one and microsoft put a push behind it since the first one didn't sell all that great either. So it's not a good game?![]()
What was that other game they made…
Avowed or something like that, what they say about that game
Cause if they giving up on outer worlds, and I ain’t heard shyt about that other game, they might be burned up as a gaming company, which is crazy cause I’m sure they were decent games
It also underperformed.
They said releasing 3 games in the same year wasn’t part of the plan it was a disaster and stretched the studio thin.
I think grounded 2 was the only one that did decent but it was contracted out to a lnother studio
I will say it's a good game. I like how there are multiple ways to complete quests and there's some good decision making options that can impact quest lines. The game does allow more freedom in builds compared to other RPGs and you can't really approach it as a master of none. The combat is solid, but I do hear some of the complaints that they played it a bit safe. Was it a good game?
The first was just ok, definitely not good enough for people to get hyped for a sequel without the sequel being good enough for word of mouth to carry it like E33.Was it a good game?

predictableObsidian games should be $50

Microsoft is so fukking delusional you can tell off production and marketing budget alone that they still treat Obsidian games as AA titles but they're somehow expecting them to do Yotei and Horizon numbers while they have the same dev work on 3 games at once![]()

Keep these bozos far away from franchises worth caring about like Fallout please and thank you.

I think what hurts Obsidian games is price. Microsoft stupidly priced their games at $70 when their games should be price $40-$60 at launch. IMO, their games should be priced at $50 at launch because that's a price where people might give a game they're somewhat interested a try. Also, think they've built a reputation where many feel their games aren't worth $70 and more known for enjoyable but games won't reach the level of a Larian game or something like Clair Obscur and KCD2.
Also, I think they made a mistake in not having romance option in their games. I personally don't care because most romance option is gaming because there's not much depth., but they lose potential consumers by skipping it.
I feel bad for them because their publisher is not putting them in the best position to succeed. Lastly, they want to make their own IPs, but as a studio you have to realize it's sometimes better to work on existing IPs because that makes the most sense business-wise. I think if TOW2 and Avowed were fallout or elder scroll spinoffs, then people would rate them highly.
