AMD is going a completely different route than Nvidia. Let's see if it works this time. The 300 series was kinda a big letdown, and I don't know anybody with those cards. People were buying 200 series cards instead of the 300 series, because they were basically the same thing. AMD has the entire console market, but is still in trouble. On PC, they're not really even part of the discussion. I don't get it, shouldn't they be number 1 since they have all the consoles on lock? But they're not :mindblown:

Such a shame their CPUs haven't been updated since 2011

I've got a GTX 980 right now, but I'm tempted to upgrade later on this year just to cover myself for a few years. I'm only gaming at 1080p (Have my pc hooked up to my TV) for now. Think I should pull the trigger on a 1070 or 1080?

I'd wanna rock with one of those cards until a single GPU drops that can play 4k @ 60 fps.

A 1070 is much more than adequate for 1080p gaming. It's basically a rebranded Titan X. I think a 1080 is way overkill for 1080p. You would be future proof for several years though. But the same can probably be said for the 1070. If it was me, I'd get the 1070. It's nearly twice as fast as your 980 if you overclock it. The Titan X is a beast and so would the rebranded 1070.

I'm gaming on 1440p with a 970. What he has is already more than enough for 1080. Why he's wasting it on a basic hd tv from what it seems idk.

I also game on a 1080p television...

1070 for me...It's simply the far better option when it comes to price for performance...You'll be locked in at 60fps for the forceable future...Cards so good I'm breaking my 5 year plan and upgrading...

1080 is only for cats like @Ciggavelli who game in 4k on four 1440p monitors...overkill setups...

Look up info for the sensor that comes with the mouse you are looking to purchase. Look for things like angle snapping is off, no acceleration, driver/software feedback, laser vs optical.

they're not "rebranded" just because they have similar performance. it's a completely new chipset. AMD had "rebranded" cards that were the same chips with different clock speeds, and other tweaks

"Rebranded" was the wrong word. I just meant to say it has Titan X performance...
