So the inner fan boy in me decided to drive to microcenter on the limb just to buy a Extension power supply whatever you want to call it I call it an extension cord that is 6 feet.

I seen that they had the RX480s for 239 purchase one and installed it on my PC. Compared to my R9 290X shyt is better notice on the benchmarks that it was close but on 4k I am getting better FPS and 1080P. Less hotter and less louder. Cool card which I will give to my son for that Nvidia.

if you're adding on to what you got, I think it's best to get more of the same memory (same brand, timing, clock-speed, etc)

if you're gonna throw your old memory in the bushes, just get whatever you can find a good deal on from brands like Corsair, G-Skill, or Crucial. obviously make sure it's supported by your mobo

I just copped 16gb (2x8) of 2133 DDR3 G-Skill Ripjaws awhile back. I couldn't add on to what I got because my CPU cooler blocks one of the slots

I had this last year. It turned out GeForce Experience was causing it. If you have an nvidia card, try disabling it. It worked for me at least.

Yeah, I never install it anymore after the fiasco last year. Shadowplay is good for recording though

Forget AMD, get a low end Core i5 Skylake (6400) and 16GB DDR4-2133 RAM

8GB RAM if you must dial it back a bit because of the added price. You don't want an AM3+ build to work out of in 2016

Never had an AMD processor before, that one was referred to me because of the price/performance, I will take a look at the Intel you mentioned, 16GB of ram I'm definitely wanting, my old 965WH has 8GB maxed out now.

Go 6600K if you can stretch, just keep in mind that you will need a heatsink to go with that model.
