I haven't even tried the ssd route :lupe:

Thanks for reminding me :salute:
 All i gotta say is, 10 year old laptop running faster than my rig (which has an hdd but way better parts) when I'm doing basic things like Skype, start up, Kodi, etc.

I basically bought a $50 ssd, and use the laptop like an android box, sometimes I'll move it away from my TV.

was thinking of picking up bf1 if for no other reason than the fact that its just about the only game out that could take advantage of my i7 6850k :ld:
im content with batllefield 4 and all of its dlc for now though.

even though its undeniably superior to skype, i had an experience with discord that kinda turned me off from it. but if one of the brehs starts a server and gets it off the ground with more than a few people, i'd be down.

upgrading time the best time tbh

I still gotta get an SSD for my shyt.. Prob just 120 for OS and apps :mjcry:

So im getting the evo 850 500gb ssd. Is it best to install the OS and games on there or just the OS?

i would put the os and programs on there. if you got enough room put your most used games on there if you want, it'll help with loading times. SSD makes prolly the biggest difference in terms of refreshing a computer. I have a 850 evo 500 gb as well, rock solid.

I was able to cop a bf deal where i got a crucial mx300 750 gb ssd for 99.99, not sure what to do with it though.

I figured 500gb is enough for the OS and the few games i constantly play. I dont really run much programs in it. Just gonna make it a strictly 4k gaming rig.

Someone already answered but i'ma answer too :birdman:

Ya 500 is enough for the OS and a few games. Also put programs that you want to open quickly or that you would use a lot. Do you still have a HDD? Put everything else such as media, old files, etc...Basically all performance related files on the SSD, everything else on HDD.
