:smh: at me now realizing to disable AA at high resolutions.
soon as I disable it, I get a performance boost.

yeah, 'real' AA is a big performance hit. it's usually the first thing I turn down/off if I don't like the performance. post-processing AA, like FXAA, isn't too bad though

in general you should stick to your native resolution, and adjust other settings. that's something I had to learn, cause shyt was different with CRT monitors

Gang violence...
are you just loyal to AMD? seems like their CPUs get mostly outperformed by Intel.
it was the smartest use of my mobo. when this generation of CPUs is dead, i will be open to switching back to intel if the price/performance ratio makes sense

Amd still usually wins price to performance radio and cpus won't really matter till about mid 2014 to early 2015.

I can run any game with my Intel G530 right now with no issues.

The price/performance makes sense right now... but only if you are willing to get a different motherboard and thats where it might not make sense for you.

:childplease: fukk no

amd aint touchin intel. For an extra $100 your performance will see a huge upgrade going with an i7 3770k over amd 8350

if you wann argue ati vs nvidia performance vs price on GPU thats all fine

but amd aint fukking with intel processors

and if you really wanna play that price/performance game and dont wanna go top notch

you can get an i5-3470 or i5-3550 and itll out perform the AMD 8350 as well and they are the same cost :whew:

intel mid grade processors out performing AMD top processor for the same price :jawalrus:

:snoop: the performance on those cards wont even get you 60 fps on current games on medium settings let alone future games...

I just went from a 955 black edition processor, trust me, I know.

Why whenever we are talking about PERFORMANCE you think with your pockets, instead of your head? The difference $100 more gets you on a processor is worth every penny.

Like I said if you wanna argue ATI vs nVidia GPU prices thats all fine, but the performance ratio between AMD and Intel right now is not even close.

I got my 3570k from Microcenter for $189 and got $50 off my motherboard an MSI Z77A-GD65 so that's like $300 combined for both the board and processor. You saying that same $300 would get me better bang for buck with AMD?

Listen I've been riding with Intel since AMD messed up with Bulldozer, but lets call it like it is. He has $100 in his pocket, don't come in telling me that you got so and so for a discount or the fact that an extra $100 would be worth it. There are cases in where the person has $100 to spend to hold him over, what are you going to tell him? To get a G850 or similar dual core over a true quad amd core processor? Is that what you guys are telling me right now?

Intel is much better with power consumption and your overall upgrade path, but if you don't have $300+ to spend and already have a setup. The AMD will hold you over until the next gen truly hits...thats all I am saying right here.

:skip: why are your examples always worst case scenario? Why does your customer only have $100 to spend ? Why doesnt he have $180? Why doesnt he have $250 ? Im just curious why all your examples from phones to computers the person has the least amount of money possible andi n the worst scenarios :skip:

Because in case you haven't noticed many people are struggling and just want to play games. You have to consider it from all angles

You basically conceded to my point. $100 in your pocket who do you ride with for a CPU? A brand you are loyal to or the best performance? It's not about if that extra $80-$100 will give you massive gains...its if it makes sense at the time to do so.

Now if he spent $1,000 on an AMD build...then yeah he gets the
