Nah, I got a good ending, but I was like, this game is perfect (the ending was kinda underwhelming though). What's the point of playing anything else? It was also a choir at times, which kinda blew me up. I beat it pretty close to release date. I loved it, and I hate turn-based combat. Then my fukking computer broke. Then I've been dealing with building a new one. I bought all the parts and just couldn't bring myself to build it. Alcoholism and shyt is a problem. So, I was like why not just have OriginPC build it? I want plug and play. I sold off all my old shyt to offset some of the costs (I had the components unopened). I'm too busy to build a water cooled rig at the moment (and the alcoholism). It's better if somebody else builds it and deals with the problems that always occur with TOTL builds. It was a lot of money, but I hope it's just plug and play. That's what I'm expecting. If not, I'll complain. I have optimistic thinking toward it. OriginPC has been doing this for a long time. I've always wanted to own one of their builds. I got the best everything, water cooled. It better be fukking amazing. :manny:
Crazy part is the ending have gotten better since release and I hear the “final” update made it even better. And then there’s mods . I put 300 hours into that game and I don’t know nothing about D&D and hadn’t played a turn based game since the 2000’s.

Hey brehs!

Hopefully yall can help a brother out..

I’ve been saying I’m going to get a gaming pc since like 2021 or some shyt and I think ima finally pull the trigger.

Budget is in the $1500-2000 range.

I hope to be able to play games like Squad, Ready or Not (basically first person shooters)

Also would hope to play and use mods for NBA 2k, mess around with some Unreal Engine Flat2VR stuff, and PCVR games on steam (I already have a quest 3).

Any advice or what I should look for as far as a GPU? Are the things I mentioned all doable at high levels based on the budget I have?

Would you be able to point me in the direction of any potential prebuilt options? I’m also open to building myself if it’s not a difficult process.

So, my OriginPC comes this week. At the same time, I gotta go to rehab (it's all good my girl will sign for it...if she can get it in the door...). I'm on a fukk the world lifestyle right now. Drinking, taking sleeping pills all day. shyt like that. I need to go to this rehab shyt. So I'll be outta the world for 7 days. It's just unfortunate that my new pc comes the exact same time I'm going to rehab. It happens though. I'll come back from rehab and have a nice pc to explore. I might need to sell some headphone shyt to cover this rehab stay, but it's nothing (I have an extensive hifi headphone setup). I'll come back sober and play games and shyt. It'll be good. But this alcohol and drug addiction is a bytch. If you've never been through it, you don't know, but it's a bytch. I know some of you have gone through it (not naming names). It's just that my liver is failing, and I need to get shyt in tow asap. I might lose my job over it, but we'll see. They can't really fire me for going to the hospital (which rehab is), right? If they do, no big deal. I got assets and cash on hand.

I got one tip If you're into online first person shooters get a monitor that's at least 144hz so if you get a high end or mid-tier GPU your monitor can actually capture those extra frames per second. The extra frames can be the difference in you spotting your opponent on screen earlier as they appear. Also want highspeed internet to avoid lagging behind your in game team mates and enemies.

Also would recommend going cheap on the PC case and case fans. Use the bulk of the money to go towards a good GPU,CPU, and Motherboard.

And you're playing the games on steam if you scroll to the bottom of the steam page you can see a list of "System Requirements" there's split into two groups "minimum" and "recommended". Use the recommended specs to avoid low performance issues.

For Squad here are the recommended specs below. You will need Window 10 or later, a AMD or Intel CPU with atleast 6 cores, 16 GBs of Ram, your GPU will need to have at least 6GB of VRAM, internet, and 80 GB of free computer space.

You can "future proof" your gaming pc by going above the recommended specs in case the developers update the games you like to play to be more hardware intensive or you can save some cash and pay just for what you need.

Here's a list of parts I put together quickly using pcpartpicker.com and amazon.com there's another sites to buy your parts like newegg.com and microcenter.com

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core - $270

be quiet! Pure Rock Pro 3 Silver CPU Air Cooler -$55

MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi Gaming Motherboard $-165

Crucial 16GB DDR5 RAM (2x8GB) - $44

Thermaltake View 200 TG ARGB Motherboard Sync ATX PC case -$65

SAMSUNG 990 EVO Plus SSD 1TB - $75

ASUS TUF Gaming 27” 1440P HDR Monitor (VG27AQ3A) – QHD 180Hz -$200

MSI MAG A750BN PSU - $95

XFX Speedster SWFT210 Radeon RX 7700XT $480

$1449 in total

This is a quick build I put together it doesn't include keyboard, mouse, thermal paste, Windows OS or tool cost. Just to give you an idea of what you could build for $1500 or less. Main concern with this build is storage being 1TB but you can add additional space later. If you want to save even more can get a CPU with 6 cores that's all you need for Squad and a 1080p monitor instead of 1440p. Buy the parts used rather than new.

I appreciate this bro!

Ima try to use this as a foundation and hopefully put something solid together over the weekend. This shyt is a lot compared to getting a console so this helps a ton lol

Yeah the main thing is knowing the types of games you would like to play then looking at the recommended specs for those games than buying the actual hardware that matches or exceed the recommended gaming specs after that you just need to ensure all the parts you order are compatible with whatever motherboard you decide to buy and that's easy by looking at your motherboard documentation or product description on the seller's website.

Guys into cinematic solo rpg type games might focus more on getting a graphic card that delivers the best visual imagery for their budget while people into shooter game might look for a graphic card that can churn out high frames per second maybe at the cost of being at a lower resolution like 1080p HD or 1440p HD rather than 4k.

So I got a new PC build. My shyt died this past summer and I've been slumming it with the PC I built for my wife in the living room hooked up to the tv. She hasn't been happy about sharing it but we made it work. The only gaming I've been doing is Angry Birds Friends on FB... :sadcam:

The new joint:

AMD Ryzen 9 9900X AM5 CPU Processor Bundle with ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming
VENGEANCE DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz
CORSAIR RM1000x Fully Modular Low-Noise ATX Power Supply
Noctua NH-U9S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A9 92mm Fan (Brown)
ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX ™ 5070 12GB GDDR7 OC Edition
1TB samsung M.2 and a couple of SSDs for storage

I've never had a pc this nice and I'm looking forward to using it.

You pull the trigger already :patrice:?

(Could shave a few bucks off some things here to maybe pay for a TI card IMHO)

5070ti goes for a little under $1000 bucks. @Orbital-Fetus if he doesn't mind AMD graphics card could get a 7900 xt for $670 which has more VRAM than the 5070ti. Could actually get a better GPU for less money than what he bought/will buy on amazon.

One con is the 7900 xt has a lot of coil wine it's a loud GPU.
