I'm almost tempted to take it to FRYs and have them fukk around with it for $50 :patrice:

First build what a disaster :smh:

do you have a more 'local' shop you can go to? they're usually easier to haggle with. I had a similar issue, and just threw a dude $20 to pinpoint what was broke

btw, anyone with Hotline Miami on Steam can opt into the beta build that adds fullscreen 16:9 support, leaderboards :birdman: , as well as other fixes

just right click on the game in your library, select 'properties', goto the 'betas' tab, enter the code "hlm" in the box, and you should be able to select the "beta branch"

@Dooby it is likely your motherboard.

99% of the time that will be the issue. I ran across that issue about a year ago with a build and was frustrated beyond belief dealing with Newegg.

BTW I recently built an entire PC for $171.57

Case
400W 80+ Bronze PSU
ATX Mobo
AMD 3870K
4GB RAM DDR3 @ 1866
500GB HDD

How about that Windows @2gunsup :mjpls:

Messing with PCs are the best...who wants to buy this for $400? I will overclock it and include free shipping :mjpls:

I've been a lot more disciplined this time around with those steam sales. I only bought $3 games and the total had to be under $15. I simply realize that with all those great deals, all I would end up doing is stockpiling a whole bunch of games and never playing any of them.

I copped Gnomoria, Snapshot and Organ Trail. They had Tomb Raider and Dishonored at great prices, but I'll catch them the next time around. Buying 3 or 4 games you know you will end up playing > buying 10 games just because they are cheap.

That's what I'd do or go with Daze's suggestion. It seems like you've tried everything else. Sometimes these things happen unfortunately.

you didn't level your motherboard correctly inside the PC case. Uninstalled everything and slowly take your time placing it back into the case.

yeah, it could be that.

there should be spacers that separate the back of the mobo from the inside of the case. if they are touching then it will short the system out.

Well I done fukked up. I bent the cpu pins on the mobo. I'm gonna try to return it anyways...see how it goes. :manny:

If it doesn't go well can anyone suggest a good reliable mobo? Preferably in the 100 dollar range :ld:

You know the drill, :youngsabo:

nah my cpu is good. I did it trying to put that black cover back on it to ship it in. :lupe:

I've actually done that before. Had to return some motherboard and had grabbed the wrong socket cover. Returned it anyway but had to make the case that that's how it came, :manny:

Newegg will most likely check for bent pins though breh so good luck to ya, :to:

it fukked my head up but the dude who did it let me watch him do it.

he just bent the pin back and put the cpu back in.
