gamingWhat are you planning on doing with the PC? Strictly work or gaming?
is SR3 season pass or any of the DLCs worth it?

i switched to a 7870 since its apparently better than the 660, and took out the ssd to bring it down to with shipping and tax 899.11 off newegg.ca
not sure if i can do any better than that
decent build, sorry to see that shipping kicks your ass.
- you probably dont need that extra fan
- if you can trash the dvd drive (do people still use discs?)

Just out of curiousity, what about web design is pushing you towards Windows as opposed Mac OS?I am interested in getting involved in web design so I am looking into building a desktop PC as I currently have a Macbook. I've never built a PC before so I wanted some advice from you guys. Sorry for being an idiot but I have been mostly a Mac user for the last 15 years. I will not be using the computer for gaming.
I want a RAID 1 hard drive array for redundancy. Is it worth having a separate drive to boot from so if I have virus/malware problems I can just wipe the drive? Will integrated graphics handle high def video no problem? What version of windows should I run? How many watts should my PSU be? Do I need to buy additional cabling?
I was going to toss a build together but I am so clueless and there is such a huge variety of parts out there I was wondering if anyone would mind piecing something together for me. Is a $500 limit not including monitor realistic?
