So someone else told me to just go with the 280x as well. That's saving 160 right the fukk there. Good lookin out. Some people have told me they don't really trust AMD and they've had overheating issues tho.

I don't really think ill be pushing the shyt super hard. Do I need to up the cooling system?

Well if The Witcher 3 is on your list of games you want to play you're going to want to go with Nvidia due to Physx. Here's just one of the more popular examples of how it will be implemented in that game,

Watch Dogs is also most likely going to favor Nvidia cards. If I were in your position I'd wait for the 780 ti release since price drops are most likely coming with it for Nvidia cards. If the 780 drops to $550-$600 it won't be hard to find used ones for $500 or less with life time warranties(or open box ones at micro center). To keep shadowplay simple think of it as an on the fly DVR for capturing gaming moments. To keep G-Sync simple its a new technology Nvidia developed which changes the traditional way a monitor syncs. Its said to provide a much smoother gaming experience granted you'd have to buy a gsync capable monitor once they are available.

You could drop the 250 GB SSD for a 120 GB and put the savings towards a 4770K.

A 290X is more powerful than a 780 though right? i mean a 780 is weaker than a Titan isn't it? a 290X compares equally to or better than one though.

A 780 nearly matches a Titan. Overclocked just a bit and it exceeds it. I personally went from SLI Titans to SLI 780s so I know. Problem with the 290X is that its at about its max potential out of the box to match 780/Titan performance. That's why its so damn loud and runs hot. A very simple overclock on a 780 and you have a faster, more efficient cooler running card and also quieter. Check out the last review I posted, the guy is pretty spot on with what he was saying about the card. Not to take away from its price/performance as it can't be beat at the moment if that's what you are looking for, Its a great purchase if you don't care for Nvidia stuff, probably the best choice.

The non referenced cooling cards will most likely toss the current 290x's cons in the bushes.

Sorry that's so messy but only way my lazy ass was gonna get the links on there. Am I doing too much with the processor/mobo combo? Should I just stick with the i5 processor? At 250 it just seemed like a steal.

Also throw the 280x on there @ 250

280x is $300.

What are you trying to do with your machine? Just gaming and regular computer use? Do you plan on doing any heavy work with it?

Everything looks fine. Go with the 4770K though since it'll get you $40 off the mobo if purchased together. I don't think the $40 off mobo applies to non K versions.

Make sure u get the right 280x...if u can find one in stock...if not the Sapphire Toxic Edition...try n get the Asus Matrix Platinum edition...last time I checked it was in stock on Newegg..the cooling on those cards are great..and they are the most powerful variants..

Lol I wanted to order the parts today from microcenter and build that bytch since I've got the day off today. I guess I could save some money if I went that way. Plus the only 280x that microcenter is offering is 350-

I'm ok taking a hit b/c of price. Just don't also want an inferior product

I see that they are offering the MSI Twinfrozr version..that one isn't bad either...SuperBiiz has this Asus 280x for less money tho..it's not the Matrix Platinum but it's still a great one..

My PC is hooked up in my bedroom to my 39inch 1080p Toshiba TV. Games look phenomenal on it but on a monitor games would look much better.
We have something in common. My PC is hook up into my 39inch bedroom tv.
