I think they might, but I'm not sure. I saw a few people talking about that on another forum and how it took a few days for everything to reset and get their battery life back to normal. My Air updated just fine and my battery life is still good, but maybe it affects other people's machines differently. What is your exact problem?

well, a friend of a friend of a friend might have this....alternative copy... of adobe creative suite, he/she/it was wondering if that would cause some problems with the "access" to software
Yeah, you should let your friend know that those .kexts will probably be a problem. Not 100% sure, but this is likely once adobe releases an update (which I'm sure they will soon). I'd tell your friend to wait until this alternative copy is updated before he/she goes to mavericks (unless your friend doesn't need the adobe suite for a while). Mavericks really isn't that cool anyways. Just some stupid maps shyt and ilife updates. I could have done without it. Apparently it saves on battery life, but who gives a shyt if I have 10hours a day now instead of the 9 before?
I know before when my friend had an alternative copy of logic pro x, and did a previous update everything was fukked up.

SWIM tried logic pro x again and SWIM couldn't get it to open on Mavricks
Edit: SWIM got a new version and it works just fine now

Brehs how the fukk do you deal with slow ass computers man?? My brother computer is ancient and I'm trying to fix it but it feels futile. The shyt literally hangs every few seconds for a minute or two and it just is painful to sit through. I don't have the patience and really think it's a waste of time. That shyt got 3GB DDR2 ram, some old ass Intel pentium core 2 duo and integrated graphics. I don't think his shyt even has a CD drive.

I told him I'll just build him a computer because this shyt is unbearable. I don't have the patience to sit through painfully slow load times, hangs and BSODs. Those things drive me crazy.
