http://www.hardwarepal.com/ddr4-memory-will-released-next-month/#_

It seems that DDR4 isn’t as far away as we thought . According to Crucial Memory’s promo page it’s going to come out late 2013. There is just one month left till the years end. So that being said, we are going to have DDR4 in our PC’s hopefully by next month.

Of course DDR4 has a different architecture, meaning we are going to need a different motherboard, we can’t just put them in our old DDR3 systems. But, is it worth upgrading to DDR4? Crucial Memory also provided a comparison chart with some specifications of what DDR4 will offer, just to show you the difference.

The DDR4 will only eat up 1.2Volts as stated by Crucial , while having twice the speed of DDR3 Memory. DDR4 will run on a base memory speed of 2133MHz while having 4GB as their minimum density. According to the chart, we can see that DDR4 is 100% faster than DDR3, requires 20% less voltage and has 300% more density than that of DDR3.

Compared to DDR3, DDR4 will have a smaller die allowing more memory per RAM and also allowing DDR4 to hold up to 16GB per module. Well, that’s massive and twice the single stick DDR3 could provide (8GB).

We can’t predict the accurate date of when DDR4 will come out, but as a wild guess it may be available by the middle of next month. Crucial Memory isn’t just one of the manufacturers who are going to throw up DDR4 memory that early. Seeing the increasing competition in the market, we may see more manufacturers coming up with early releases of DDR4, forcing motherboard manufacturers to come up with compatible motherboards.

Will you upgrade your system to support DDR4 ?

im not sure ill keep playing it, im playing on my TV and its not very controller friendly, and im getting the PS4 version tonight anyways

thanks anyways though

hell no if u are going to play u need a keyboard and mouse which is another reason i gave it up, the accuracy and responsiveness of the mouse is crazy....nikkaz be doing a tony hawk 920 with their charcters and under 1 second and sh1t, moving my player with a keyboard felt wrong......disgusting really.

what new socket? :dwillhuh:

lmao i meant that as in, if i do upgrade, it will be straight to whatever new socket is after 1150

AFAIK, intel usually does 2 chips per socket so........ skylake probably be a new socket or the one after skylake will be

Such programs do exist. I did a quick search and it looks like this may be what you're looking for: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001089.htm

well I figured ito ut was my processor by running openware hardware monitor

i7-3770k all cores running at 800 mhz  and at 103c

looks like my heat sick got a little unscrewed from the fall :to:

its still running kinda hot and I can tell its still a little unjarred (just having Chrome open, its at 60-80c) when its usally around 36-42 c

but thankfully ive found the problem and if worst case scenario ill just need a new heat sink (im using stock heat sink on i7-3770k anyway, OC'd to 3.9 GHZ)

after starting a game of BF4 they jump back up to 105c so hmm

edit: got them down to around 38-45 idle.. 60 max.. ill have to take that.. until I decide to buy a new heat sink

one of my fans is running at 2200 RPM im trying to remember if thats normal or not :bryan:
