"The PC market continues to be in free fall, having now seen its seventh consecutive quarter of declining worldwide shipments. Worldwide PC shipments dropped to 82.6 million units in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to Gartner, a 6.9 percent decrease from the same period last year. It's worth emphasizing that this past quarter resulted in a total of 315.9 million units shipped in 2013, a 10 percent decline from 2012, and the worst decline in PC market history. The overall shipment level was equal to the one in 2009."

The tablet takeover Steve Jobs envisioned is near completion :sadcam:
That's fine and all, but tablets and in a large part laptops are not as productive as a desktop is.

I tried doing work on this full fledged Venue Pro 8 and couldn't get anything done efficiently. Mouse + Keyboard FTW.

Oh, and the gaming on our side is much better than a shytty console these days.

I went to the other side brehs and got a PS4. The "amazing graphics" for killzone :mjlol:.

"Flower" though...:whew:

We still winning brehs (I know, I know ....:deadhorse:)

oh and @Fatboi1 that DS4 is nice. I might have to try that on my pc. How's that looking now? Full functionality yet?
Functionality for the ds4 is fine, you just have to run the ds4tool program before launching steam or origin and it works as a 360 pad.

U should try it and get back to me..cause I had a 7870 as well and the same thing happened...
Did you try using D3Doverrider and enabling Vsync/Triple buffering to see if that fixes the issue?? Usually that fixes the issue. I haven't actually tried Crysis 3 yet on my rig.

Ok..first off..let me say I know this pc will be flabby and sick...I'm initially trying to get a pc to replace my old pc that just died. I used it for making music and its probably about 3+ years old. I got some music business to take care of immediately and buying another pc wasnt in the plan. I just want to know if I ever wanted to upgrade it for gaming purposes would it be possible at least on the level of on par with the new consoles or better. I can get this PC using my job discount for around $350 (dont want to shell out no more than 400). What I mean is...are there enough proper ports/etc. Would I be able to replace everything including the apu/cpu and adding a real gpu if I ever wanted too?

...I can only buy from sears,HP, or dell but I found this cheap "gaming" pc. Right now I just need something light that I can make music on but is this decently upgradeable.

It's kinda hard to tell from your link but I don't think you'll be able to upgrade (at least without shelling out a bunch of cash for a new power supply and motherboard, etc.). That dual core and 7480d is not a good look at all. I suggest passing on this if you want to game

Depending on your discount get this (it's on $225 discount right now too, so you can double dip):

I believe you could upgrade the GPU on that to a 760 probably (although somebody else with have to confirm that) and the CPU is MUCH better (although perhaps a but of an overkill for your needs [an i5 is probably want you need):

Edit: I just realized you probably aren't gonna get a 40-50% discount on this dell, so I guess disregard this PC :ld:

Edit 2: Or you can just wait for that alienware steambox (alienware is dell btw)

I got bored real quick with that game (according to steam after 4 minutes :dead: [that can't be right though...probably like 1-2 hours in actuality]). I stopped real quickly. Others seem to like it though :yeshrug:

a dead PC can be resurrected if a component failed and you simply replace it. I don't know how much you know about computers but is way cheaper to say buy a new power supply if the old one failed than a whole new computer.

I dont mind how much I'd have to get...I just want to know if its possible given the motherboard

Well see the thing is...my old computer is 3+ years old and the motherboard is done. It was a store bought HP brand computer. I was told its not worth it to buy what I needed to fix it.

So wait you can get the PC paid off by your job but you'll shell out the money for the parts? If so then go ahead.
