I'm guessing you're literally just upping the multiplier right? You haven't increased the cpu vcore yet?

I've increased the vcore to 1.28v. I tend to go a bit high and if stable work my way down in voltage. If you leave it on auto most of the time the bios will put way more voltage than needed.

i just tested it and my gpu hit 89c. i was testing it with max payne 3 at 4K. My cpu temp was at like 43c but that's inaccurate so i would guess it was at 63 which is still below the max temps for my cpu plus i got a aftermarket cooler installed on it so I doubt the CPU is overheating.

I'm gonna remove the card and try it again to see how it fares.

Edit: The symptoms I'm having(Shutdown with no BSoD) seem to indicate a PSU problem. When it does shut down the PC isn't able to just turn right back on. I usually have to fiddle with all the plugs and devices attached to the computer. I also seem to have visual artifacts outside of games. Right now there's like this small square pixels that are flickering at the top of my screen.

Get a new PSU fam..that shyt is only 500w and not even atleast Bronze certified...get a new PSU ASAP..

that actually was one of the Steam Machines. I just don't know what they were thinking building that box that basically gimps itself because of heat issues

Breh what's your settings for oc'ing the intel g3258?? I can't seem to get it to work.I have the MSI z97 board and in the bios,I have the cpu ratio to 44 or something but I can't boot up windows without a bsod. I put the vcore on 1.28 but 1.3 is in red and can't go higher.

You have to update the bios. I had the same issue. There are other things you're going to want to adjust in bios as well, not just multiplier and vcore.
