I thought overclocking wasn't worth it too, but those performance increases in skyrim and hitman were no joke.

It maybe be more dramatic for me cuz I'm on 3 monitors, but I'm talking like 15fps increase in skyrim here.

I saw nothing with almost every other game though (as most shyt is GPU dependent anyway). I'm assuming my overclock will be real helpful in gta v when it comes out, as it'll probably be heavy CPU dependent like gta iv. That shyt takes a toll on 3 monitors

I can say that overclocking helped my performance a lot in Arma. but I really didn't try too many other games before I overclocked

Brehs can someone tell me why my screen be flickering randomly while gaming?? I thought it was just a isolated incident with Skyrim but I just noticed it doing it in other games too. I noticed it in Titanfall just now and now I think it may be something else. I haven't really troubleshooted and pinned down what's causing it. My video card isn't OC'd, only my CPU is.

I hate putting together PCs. moved my 4770k GTX780 system into this new Prodigy case and the damn thing is idling around 45c. that means the heatsync isn't on proper. Now i gotta take this whole damn thing apart to take the motherboard out of the case to re-seat it. no way should a Hyper 212 EVO have idles that hot.

it seems to me that the heatsynk is fine if the temps are that low...45c aint shyt.

it's probably something else that is causing the problem.

A 4770K is a pretty hot CPU as is. What are your ambient temps?
