so i've posted before about my problem with games crashing.
i thought this was a RAM problem...now i think it is just the games.

my girl has been playing Tomb Raider for hours before the occasional crash.
when i play Metro Last Light i crash every 15 minutes.

just ran threw Next Car Game for 40 minutes and no problems....i think it's poorly optimized ports that cause the crashes.

anyone have frequent crashes with Metro Last Light?
what kind of crashes are these? is your display driver crashing?

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
no, i gave it away.
i just ran a stress test on my gpu and got no errors.

i used this to test it:
https://www.raymond.cc/blog/having-problems-with-video-card-stress-test-its-memory/

i also ran Windows memory test and it came back fine.
when i run memtest the pc reboots at some point, i ran it last night and this morning it was at the logon screen...i ran it again this morning and same thing.
Hmm..u think u might have faulty ram slots on the mobo?..u might need a new mobo..

They scared me with the Evil Within required specs. So far I'm playing it and I unlocked the framerate to 60fps and it's been around 60fps max settings at 1080P for me.

Idk how it will fare later on but I'm happy. :win: Game has a nice look to it.

There seems to be alot of system instability..monitor it closely..and try to see if ur cpu is not overheating..reapply thermal paste..

played Metro again while monitoring cpu temps.
highest it got was 79c, well withing safe limits.

my gpu rarely gets above 60c and that's only in the summer.

80c seems kinda hot for a non-overclocked ivy bridge chip. I don't think that's the issue though
