GPU is on the weak side. Cop 1 stick of 8 GB instead of 2x4 if possible. Usually ends up being the same price.

They see me trolling, they hating.....
lol if you have the latest motionjoy you should have the option to emulate a 360 pad under the settings options :jawalrus:

i know this bro, that's how I got the PS3 controller to work

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to get a PS2 pad (Dualshock 2) to do the same thing. Motionjoy doesn't even acknowledge that its plugged in but it works on my PC because I can play emulator games on it

what am I looking at here, does it work with Dualshock 2 and how do I implement it?

:ohhh:

I just loaded up Hawken on my rig.

First time I've played a game on this thing. I just went through the tutorial for the game, but I have a question. Aren't 360 controllers plug and play for Windows computers?

Do I need some software to use my 360 pad on my PC? Also, when I loaded the game, the screen put borders around the picture. I selected fullscreen in the game's options menu but it still has the borders, how do I get rid of that? They aren't on my other screens...

Isn't windows 8 all wireless, shouldn't we be able to use wireless 360 pads?

have budget constraints- if the gpu is that weak is there no point making it at all ?

in the zip file there's some .dll files that you copy into the game folder (whichever folder has the executable) (and keep them so you can use them again). after that it should think the dual shock is a xbox controller. I use something similar with my logitech controller

(also make sure the controller is plugged in before you start the game)

the game has to support it (xbox controller) in the first place. if it doesn't, you'll have to bind the buttons and such

I think you're better off doing what you can to get a better gpu. the 650 is basically a budget card that's not really for serious gaming. save up and/or cut costs to get a gtx 660 or AMD equivalent

look at the difference between the 650 and 660

so i gotta place that sh1t into the specific games folder and this isn't just some universal sh1t i could place on my pc to make it default?

if you're playing cracked games, I'm sure you can copy files into a folder :comeon:

you have to do it once per game, not a big deal. if you want something easier, use an actual xbox controller :aicmon:

I think the 660 (or AMD equivalent) is the minimum if you want to invest in PC gaming. you can kind of see it on that chart: there's a huge leap to the 660, but then the leaps are smaller as you go up from there

it all comes down to how much you want to spend. but I think there's a minimum to make it worth your while

What's your budget?

Going 8GB instead of 2x4GB will leave you 3 slots for future upgrades. If you fill them with 4GB sticks you'll be limited to 16GB vs 32GB with 8GB sticks(you can mix capacities but its not recommended). If for whatever reason the 8GB sticks cost a lot more then just go with the 2x4's.
